It has been reported to the League that Clubs using the pitch at Goldings for friendlies is being left in a disgraceful way. It was particularly bad on Sunday 13th July, which was used by 3 teams. The League will not tolerate rubbish being left at the venue and should this happen again then either those teams responsible will not be allowed to use the venue or the League will remove Goldings altogether. CLUBS ARE REMINDED TO TAKE A BLACK BAG WITH THEM AND REMOVE THE RUBBISH.
St Clares Hospice are holding a British Seaside Summer Fete on Sunday 27th July between 11am-4pm. Entrance is just £1.00 per person and children 16 are free. There are lots of things to do and see so please support this worthwhile cause.
Would Clubs that attended the AGM on Monday 30th June 2008 but failed to collect their Rule Book please contact Kim Lawrence on 01279 308208 and a copy will be posted to you.
Paul Groves, Fixtures Secretary, has set up a web site for clubs to arrange friendlies throughout the closed season. Please see web site www.hdfl.moonfruit.com for further details.
Following a recently held meeting between Harlow Council and the League the council have informed us that there is a 3 increase on the pitch fees and regretfully this increase has to be passed onto the clubs. Therefore the cost of hiring a council pitch is £780. If Clubs pay in 2 instalments it will be £390 by 31st August 2008 and £390 by 31st January 2009. If paying one lump sum Clubs will get a £50 reduction thus making the total £730 payable by 31st August 2008. Any new club hiring a council pitch off the League must pay in full a total of £730 by 31st July 2008.
Those clubs that wish to have their web site added to the Leagues web site via the links page can contact the League Secretary with the address and the link will be added.
The long awaited "Ask The Referee" section is up and running. This section allows specific questions to be answered by qualified referees. When you submit your question it will be forwarded to a designated referee who will answer the question. Once the question has been answered the full question and answer will be visible to everyone on the web site. There has already been some misuse of the page and will not be tolerated therefore measures will be put in place to identify the sender of the question.
